Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has pledged ₦100 million to support the Huba Development Action Plan as part of activities marking one year of purposeful leadership under the Tol Huba, Chief Dr. Alheri Bulus Nyako, in Hong Local Government Area.
The Governor made the announcement during his visit to Hong, where he emphasized that the creation of new emirates and chiefdoms remains one of the most impactful decisions of his administration. According to him, the move restored dignity to traditional institutions, strengthened grassroots governance, and brought leadership closer to the people.

Gov Fintiri noted that Hong has consistently shown support for his administration and assured residents that his government remains committed to delivering tangible projects across the area. He listed ongoing and completed interventions to include road construction, school development, electrification projects, and erosion control measures.
Highlighting his leadership approach, the Governor stated that governance must be people-centered and participatory. He explained that his visit to Hong was not merely ceremonial but an opportunity to engage directly with citizens, assess progress, and listen to their concerns.
“Democracy is not a speech; it is a conversation,” he said, stressing that development must reflect the needs and priorities of the people.
Among the key projects outlined for Hong are the construction of 6 kilometers of roads, expansion of electricity supply, revitalization of water systems, and the establishment of a new Science and Technology School aimed at strengthening educational advancement in the area.
Gov Fintiri assured residents that their feedback will guide further government action, reiterating that his administration remains focused on translating plans into measurable progress.
He concluded by affirming that Adamawa State is on a steady path of growth and that the government will continue to build on its achievements across all local government areas.
