Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has declared that politics must be rooted in courage, conviction, service, and sacrifice, not lies and deceit, as he commissioned key projects in Shelleng Local Government Area.
Speaking during the ceremony, Gov Fintiri commended the Chairman of Shelleng Local Government, Hon. Abubakar Musa Abba, for what he described as bold and visible leadership that is positively impacting the lives of the people.
“Politics is not a game of lies and deceit. At its best, it is about courage and conviction. It is about service and sacrifice,” the Governor said, adding that the people of Shelleng can clearly see the results of effective leadership.

The Governor commissioned a newly completed Primary Health Care Centre aimed at strengthening access to quality healthcare services, especially for women and children. He also inaugurated the Fresh Air Town Hall, which will serve as a center for community engagement and public functions, alongside the Fresh Air Shopping Plaza designed to stimulate commerce and support local businesses.
Gov Fintiri assured residents that additional concerns raised by the community will be addressed. He confirmed that the proposed water project will receive attention, while the Kiri–Shelleng Road will be completed with asphalt to improve transportation and economic activities in the area.
Reaffirming his administration’s approach to governance, the Governor stressed that his government is focused on delivering measurable results across the state.
“We don’t promise. We perform,” he stated.
The projects in Shelleng form part of the broader development drive of the Fintiri-led administration aimed at improving infrastructure, boosting the local economy, and enhancing the overall quality of life for citizens across Adamawa State.
