Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has inaugurated the Governing Board of the Adamawa State College of Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Studies, Gulak, charging its members to harness innovation and entrepreneurship to create opportunities for young people.
The newly inaugurated board is headed by Chief Leonard Nzadon as Chairman.
Speaking during the inauguration, Governor Fintiri described entrepreneurship as a powerful tool for reducing poverty, creating jobs and empowering young people to become economically self-reliant.
The Governor urged the board members to bring their wealth of experience and expertise to bear on the development of the institution, particularly in promoting innovation, skills acquisition and entrepreneurship education.
He stressed the need for the college to position itself as a centre for practical learning and innovation, capable of equipping students and young entrepreneurs with the skills required to compete in the modern economy.
Fintiri expressed confidence that the new governing board would provide the leadership needed to strengthen the institution and expand its contribution to youth development and economic growth in Adamawa State.
