Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, alongside business mogul Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Abubakar Dantsoho, dignitaries and citizens from across Nigeria, has joined the funeral prayers for late former Governor of Gongola State and elder statesman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.
The funeral prayers were held at the Lamido’s Palace in Yola, as family members, political leaders, government officials and sympathisers gathered to pay their final respects to the respected statesman.




Governor Fintiri described the late Bamanga Tukur, also known as Tafida Adamawa, as a distinguished leader who left behind a remarkable legacy of service and leadership in Gongola and Adamawa States.
He acknowledged the deceased’s contributions to the political and socio-economic development of the state and the nation, stressing that his passing represents a significant loss to Adamawa and Nigeria.
The Governor offered prayers for the repose of Tukur’s soul, asking Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.
Fintiri also extended his continued prayers and condolences to the family and loved ones of the late elder statesman, while urging them to find comfort in his enduring legacy and years of service to the people.
