Gov Fintiri. Pledges Full Restoration of Vandalised Electrification Equipment in Demsa

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has announced plans to replace and reinstall electrification equipment that was vandalised and stolen in parts of Demsa Local Government Area, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to rural development and essential infrastructure delivery.

Speaking during his ongoing statewide engagement tour in Demsa, Governor Fintiri assured residents that criminal activities would not be allowed to deny communities access to electricity, a key component of his rural development agenda. He stated that all damaged and stolen electrical facilities previously installed in the area would be fully restored.

The Governor also pledged to address requests and concerns raised by the people of Demsa, acknowledging their consistent and overwhelming support. He urged residents to take ownership of government projects by safeguarding public infrastructure, emphasizing that development is a shared responsibility between the state and its citizens.

Appreciating the warm reception, Governor Fintiri reaffirmed his dedication to purposeful, people-oriented leadership anchored on democratic principles and the aspirations of Adamawa State residents.

In separate goodwill messages, the Chairman of Demsa Local Government, Kate Raymond Mamuno; Member of the State House of Assembly, Felix Tangwami; Commissioner for Health; and Commissioner for Information and Strategy, James Iliya, commended the Governor for leadership that combines words with action. They highlighted projects executed in the area, including road construction, establishment of a cottage hospital, rural electrification, construction of model schools, and youth employment initiatives.

The event also featured cultural performances and presentations of gifts from community groups, including the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Muslim Council of Demsa, NYSC members, and Fulani representatives.

Earlier during the visit, Governor Fintiri commissioned a rehabilitated Government Lodge in Demsa, executed by the Local Government Council, and paid homage to the Hama Batta, His Royal Highness Alhaji Gladstone Teneke, informing the traditional ruler of the objectives of his visit.
