Governor Fintiri Pays Tribute to Late President Buhari in Daura, Hails His Legacy of Service and Patriotism

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri visited Daura on Tuesday to commiserate with the family of the late President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away earlier this month. The visit was marked by solemnity and deep reflection on the life and contributions of the former Head of State.

Describing the moment as deeply personal and nationally significant, Governor Fintiri paid tribute to Buhari’s enduring impact on Nigeria’s history, as a military ruler and a democratically elected president.

“President Buhari shaped Nigeria’s journey through courage, conviction, and an unyielding belief in service,” Fintiri stated. “He stood as a symbol of discipline, patriotism, and sacrifice. His legacy complex yet undeniable will echo in our national consciousness for generations.”

While offering prayers for the family, Governor Fintiri emphasized the importance of national unity during this period of mourning. He called on Nigerians to reflect on the values Buhari embodied and to carry forward the principles of nationhood and duty that defined his time in office.

The late President Buhari, a native of Daura in Katsina State, remains a towering figure in Nigerian politics and governance. His death has drawn tributes from leaders across the globe.

Governor Fintiri’s visit underscores the respect accorded to Buhari’s legacy and the collective responsibility of Nigerian leaders to preserve national cohesion in times of grief.
