Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has congratulated renowned businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Mohammed Indimi, on his 79th birthday, describing his contributions to human empowerment and national development as an enduring source of inspiration.
In a goodwill message issued on Wednesday, August 12, Governor Fintiri celebrated Indimi on behalf of the Adamawa State Government and people, commending his decades of contributions to business, philanthropy and community development.
Indimi, who was born on August 12, 1947, in Maiduguri, Borno State, is the founder and chairman of Oriental Energy Resources, a Nigerian oil exploration and production company. He has also been widely recognised for his philanthropic activities, particularly in education, healthcare, housing and support for vulnerable communities.
The governor described Indimi’s contributions to human empowerment and national development as monumental, noting that his journey and commitment to supporting people continue to serve as an inspiration.
Fintiri also acknowledged the businessman’s impact beyond the corporate world, particularly through initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and opportunities of disadvantaged Nigerians.
Indimi’s philanthropic work includes interventions through the Mohammed Indimi Foundation, which has supported vulnerable families and communities affected by conflict in the North-East, as well as initiatives in education, healthcare and housing.
The governor wished the celebrant continued good health, wisdom and longevity, while expressing hope that he would continue to contribute to the development of the country.
Mohammed Indimi has received several national and international recognitions for his contributions to business and society, including the Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) national honour.
