Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Pa Bernard Laori, the father of Honourable Kwamoti B. Laori, who represents Numan, Lamurde, and Demsa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
In a condolence message issued on behalf of the Government and people of Adamawa State, Governor Fintiri described the late Pa Laori as a man of honour, wisdom, and peace whose life was guided by humility, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to community values.
“I received with deep sadness the news of the passing of Pa Bernard Laori, the beloved father of Honourable Kwamoti B. Laori,” the governor stated. “He was a respected elder whose legacy is etched in his character and in the lives he touched.”
Pa Bernard Laori passed away at the age of 87 after a period of illness at the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital in Yola.
Governor Fintiri extended his heartfelt condolences to Hon. Laori and the entire Laori family, acknowledging the deep personal and communal loss they have suffered.
“While his passing no doubt leaves a huge vacuum, we take solace in the fact that Pa Bernard Laori lived a full and impactful life—a legacy reflected in the values he instilled and the upright public service of his son,” the statement read.
The Governor prayed for divine comfort for the bereaved family and the peaceful repose of the departed: “May Almighty God grant the family the strength to bear this irreparable loss, and may the soul of Baba rest in perfect peace.”
