Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has extended warm Eid el-Kabir greetings to Muslims across Nigeria, urging citizens to embrace the spirit of sacrifice, peace, and unity that defines the sacred celebration.
In a goodwill message released on Friday, June 6, to mark the occasion, Governor Fintiri said Eid el-Kabir is not only a religious observance but a powerful symbol of national values that must be upheld, especially in challenging times.
“As we mark this year’s Eid el-Kabir, I extend my heartfelt felicitations to our Muslim brothers and sisters across Nigeria,” the governor said. “This sacred celebration is a powerful reminder of the values of sacrifice, faith, and unity. May it renew in us a deeper love for our nation and a stronger commitment to one another.”

He stressed the importance of tolerance and mutual respect among Nigeria’s diverse population, noting that only through unity can the country overcome its current challenges.
“Let us continue to uphold peace, tolerance, and mutual respect—values that are essential for the progress of Adamawa State and our great country,” Fintiri added.
The governor concluded his message with a call for peaceful celebrations and renewed dedication to the collective good: “Eid Mubarak to you all.”
Eid el-Kabir, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son in obedience to God’s command—a message Governor Fintiri described as especially relevant to Nigeria’s journey toward stability and national cohesion.
Governor Fintiri’s message joins a chorus of goodwill from leaders across the country as millions of Muslims gather to observe prayers, perform sacrifices, and share the blessings of the season.
