The Adamawa State Government, led by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has reaffirmed its determination to deepen environmental reforms through strategic partnerships with Chinese firms aimed at introducing recycling systems across the state.
This commitment was restated by the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources Development, Mohammed Sadiq Kalu, during the unveiling of the newly procured 2025 Sweeper Truck at the Unity Flyover in Jimeta.

The State Executive Council had recently approved the acquisition of the modern sweeper truck to strengthen sanitation efforts and improve public health across Adamawa. The machine has now arrived in Yola and has begun full operation on designated routes.
During the unveiling, Commissioner Kalu accompanied by the Permanent Secretary and senior officials of the ministry said Governor Fintiri’s Fresh Air Administration is intentionally investing in modern environmental technologies to create cleaner, safer, and more habitable communities.
He emphasized that discussions are ongoing with Chinese partners to set up recycling systems that will drive sustainability, reduce waste, and support green development in the state. He encouraged residents to continue backing Governor Fintiri’s transformative agenda.
Ad-hoc sweeping staff welcomed the development, expressing relief that the sweeper truck will reduce their workload and enhance efficiency. They commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his consistent commitment to improving environmental sanitation and upgrading essential public services.
