Governors from across Northern Nigeria met today in Kaduna alongside leading traditional rulers to discuss coordinated measures to tackle insecurity in the region.
In my remarks, I stressed that securing the North is a shared duty that requires firm political will, collaboration with traditional institutions, and clear community-based strategies. The dialogue reviewed current threats, strengthened commitments to intelligence sharing, and emphasized grassroots security structures as key to restoring stability.

The meeting ended with a unified pledge to work more closely across state lines and deliver practical actions that will drive the region toward lasting peace and justice.
