Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, received His Excellency Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, Governor of Borno State, alongside prominent businessman Alhaji Mohammed Indimi, who led a high-level delegation to Yola on a condolence visit.
The visit was to commiserate with the government and people of Adamawa State over the passing of elder statesman and distinguished academic, Professor Jibril Aminu.
Governor Fintiri expressed deep gratitude for the gesture, describing the visit as a profound show of solidarity from Borno State and the northern region at large.
“We deeply appreciate their show of solidarity. The loss is not only Adamawa’s but the nation’s. May Allah grant Prof. Aminu Aljannatul Firdaus,” Governor Fintiri stated.
Professor Aminu, who passed on June 5, 2025, was a former Minister of Education, a diplomat, and a widely respected figure in Nigeria’s academic and political circles.
