Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Friday, May 31, received former Defence Minister and elder statesman, Lt. Gen. Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (Rtd), at the Yola International Airport.
Governor Fintiri described General Danjuma’s presence in Adamawa as a profound honour, underscoring the values of service, sacrifice, and unity that the retired General embodies. “His presence is always a reminder of the ideals that bind and uplift our nation,” Fintiri stated.

While the details of Gen. Danjuma’s visit remain private, sources suggest it may involve high-level consultations or engagements relevant to regional peace and development.
The visit marks yet another moment of recognition for Adamawa State as a hub for national dialogue and leadership engagement.
