President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening traditional institutions as key drivers of peaceful coexistence and national unity in the country.
The President made this known during an interaction with Emirs and Chiefs, led by the Lamido of Adamawa, Alhaji Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, at the Council Chambers, Government House in Yola, shortly after the grand reception of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri into the All Progressives Congress.




Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, President Tinubu acknowledged the critical role of traditional rulers in promoting peace, stability, and unity across Nigeria.
He assured the royal fathers of the Federal Government’s continued support in strengthening their roles toward fostering harmony and driving national development.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Council of Chiefs and Emirs, Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, appreciated the Vice President for the visit and commended the efforts of the Tinubu-led administration in addressing insecurity in the country.
He further noted that Governor Fintiri has maintained strong collaboration with traditional rulers in ensuring the safety of lives and property across Adamawa State, while also praising the achievements of his administration over the past seven years.
