Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has commiserated with the family of Aisha Halilu, daughter of Halilu Modibbo, who passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
In a related development, the Governor also paid a condolence visit to the family of Aliyu Yusufu, popularly known as Hamma Modi, who died in Yola on December 9, 2025.




During the visits to Hammers Estate, Apo I, and Games Village in Abuja, Governor Fintiri, on behalf of the Government and people of Adamawa State, conveyed heartfelt condolences to Halilu Modibbo and Professor Yusufu Abdullahi Ribadu, Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), who are the father and brother of the deceased respectively.
Governor Fintiri described the losses as painful and profound, noting that they were not only a blow to the affected families but also to Adamawa State as a whole. He reminded the bereaved families that death is an inevitable reality for all mortals.
The Governor prayed for Almighty God to grant the departed souls eternal rest and urged the families to remain steadfast and draw comfort from faith during the period of mourning.
Special prayers were offered for the repose of the souls of the deceased.
