Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustained infrastructural development across Adamawa State during a working visit to Yola North Local Government Area.
The Governor, accompanied by his Deputy, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, and other top government officials, commissioned the newly constructed Yola North Local Government Secretariat, executed by the Council Chairman, Barrister Jibril Ibrahim Jimeta.




The visit formed part of Governor Fintiri’s ongoing tour of the state’s 21 local government areas.
Following the commissioning, the Governor addressed stakeholders and residents at the Jimeta Football Stadium, where he stated that the impact of his administration’s policies and projects is visible across the state. He assured the people of continued commitment to service delivery, transparency, and infrastructure-led development.
In his remarks, Barrister Jibril Ibrahim Jimeta said Yola North had not experienced comparable development since its creation in 1996 until the Fintiri administration.
The member representing Yola North Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Suleiman Umar Alkali, and the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Ibrahim Yayaji Mijinyawa, also commended the Governor for prioritising development in the area.
