Top Adamawa State Government officials on Sunday embarked on an extensive inspection tour of key developmental projects executed under the administration of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, as preparations intensify for their flag-off and commissioning in Yola.
The inspection exercise, described as rigorous and time-bound, covered several high-impact projects nearing completion. These include the new High Court Complex, the Bekaji Roundabout underpass, the Yola North Model School, the Government House Entrance Gate, and the new Governor’s Office Complex, all of which are scheduled for commissioning in the coming days.

A major highlight of the tour was the inspection of the proposed permanent orientation camp for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), a long-awaited project approved by the Adamawa State Executive Council late last year. The facility, located at Malkohi in Yola South Local Government Area, is slated for official flag-off and is expected to significantly improve the welfare, safety, and training environment of corps members posted to the state.
Leading the high-powered delegation, the Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Professor Kaletapwa G. Farauta, expressed satisfaction with the pace, quality, and level of completion of the projects inspected. She noted that the outcomes reflect deliberate planning and strict supervision by the Fintiri administration.
Professor Farauta reaffirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to sustained investment in critical sectors, particularly infrastructure, education, housing, and institutional development, stressing that the projects are designed to deliver long-term value to the people of Adamawa State.
Members of the inspection team included the Chief of Staff, Government House, Yola, Dr. Edgar Amos; Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon. Ibrahim Mijinyawa Yayaji; Commissioner for Works and Energy, Engr. Adamu Atiku; Commissioner for Education and Human Services, Dr. Umar Garba Pella; and Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Abdullahi Prambe.
The inspection tour underscores the Fintiri-led administration’s focus on delivery, accountability, and readiness, as the state prepares to formally unveil projects that are set to reshape governance, mobility, education, and public service delivery in Adamawa.
