Hours of heavy rainfall on Tuesday morning unleashed devastating floods across Yola, submerging homes and displacing residents in Bachure, Jambutu, Doubeli, Karewa, and parts of Barracks Road. The floodwaters swept through low-lying areas, destroying property and forcing families to abandon their houses in search of safer ground.

Authorities have urged citizens not to panic, assuring that help is on the way. The Adamawa State Government has reiterated its commitment to the well-being of affected residents, with emergency response teams already deployed. Relief assistance has reached some of the worst-hit communities, while more interventions are being mobilized to cover other affected areas.
