Fintiri Urges Nigerians to Embrace Responsibility at 65th Independence Anniversary Parade in Yola

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has called on Nigerians to see freedom not just as an achievement but as a responsibility toward building a stronger and more prosperous nation.

Speaking during the 65th Independence Anniversary Parade held at Mahmud Ribadu Square, Yola, the Governor said Nigeria’s six and a half decades of nationhood remain a testament to the sacrifices of past generations, which must now be translated into progress.

Fintiri emphasized the need to turn diversity into strength and hope into reality, stressing that unity and resilience are the foundations upon which a greater Nigeria can be built.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to advancing development and social justice in Adamawa State, while assuring that policies on education, youth empowerment, and security will continue to receive priority attention.

The parade featured march-pasts by security agencies, paramilitary formations, schools, and cultural troupes, showcasing the spirit of unity and patriotism in the state.
