Director-General of the Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA), Dr. Michael Zira, has urged journalists to step up reportage of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s people-oriented programmes.
He made the call when the Adamawa State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) paid him a courtesy visit in Yola, stressing that more visibility should be given to government’s efforts in job creation, empowerment, and poverty alleviation.

Dr. Zira highlighted PAWECA’s achievements, including ten Technical Skills Training Centres and the disbursement of N5 billion under the Fintiri Business Wallet. He appealed for continued prayers and support for the administration.
Earlier, NUJ Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Ibrahim, commended Dr. Zira’s leadership and pledged the union’s partnership in giving wider publicity to PAWECA’s programmes.
