The Adamawa State Government has received a ₦100 million donation from the government and people of Bayelsa State to support ongoing recovery efforts following the devastating floods that recently hit parts of the state.
The donation was conveyed through Governor Douye Diri, who extended the solidarity on behalf of Bayelsa to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and the people of Adamawa.
Governor Fintiri expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a powerful display of Nigerian unity and compassion.
“This act of kindness speaks to the true spirit of Nigerian brotherhood,” Fintiri said. “On behalf of the government and people of Adamawa State, I thank Governor Diri and the people of Bayelsa. Every kobo of this donation will go into helping our people rebuild, recover, and rise stronger.”
The funds will be channeled into critical relief, reconstruction, and rehabilitation interventions for flood-affected communities across the state.
