Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Monday received the Adamawa State Chapter of the Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (WOWICAN) at the Government House, Yola, where he reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive and equitable governance.

The Governor expressed gratitude for the prayers and solidarity extended by the Women group, noting that their support strengthens his resolve to lead with fairness, security, and justice for all.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Fintiri revealed that his government has initiated concrete plans to create 12,000 new jobs across the state before the end of 2025. According to him, the job creation strategy will include the recruitment of 5,000 teachers, 5,000 civil servants, and 2,000 health Professionals part of a broader agenda to revitalize critical sectors of the economy.

He also announced the planned establishment of a School of Technology and Entrepreneurship, aimed at equipping Adamawa youths with the skills needed for innovation and self-reliance in today’s economy.

“We’ve made remarkable progress together, but I will not rest until every child has access to quality education, every youth is meaningfully engaged, and every life in Adamawa is protected,” Fintiri said.

The Governor reassured the delegation that women and youths remain at the heart of his administration’s development strategy, promising to continue fostering an inclusive environment where no group is left behind.

The meeting with WOWICAN, he noted, was a reflection of the unity and collective resolve that is driving the state forward.
