Adamawa State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting cultural heritage and unity as the Lunguda people celebrated their annual thanksgiving festival, Sinmilalama 2025, in Guyuk.
The Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Aloysius BabaDoke, represented Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at the colourful event, which drew traditional rulers, community leaders, cultural troupes, and visitors from within and outside the state.




Speaking at the ceremony, the Commissioner praised the Lunguda people for preserving their rich traditions and for using the festival as a platform to foster peace, unity, and social cohesion. He assured that the Fintiri administration will continue to support cultural initiatives that strengthen harmony and tourism development in Adamawa.
The Sinmilalama Festival, a cultural thanksgiving event, is a time for the Lunguda community to celebrate their heritage, honour their ancestors, and pray for prosperity in the year ahead.
