NYSC DG Arrives Adamawa Ahead of President Tinubu’s Flag-Off of Permanent Orientation Camp

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, has arrived in Adamawa State ahead of the official flag-off ceremony for the construction of a new and modern NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp.

The landmark project is being executed by the administration of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as part of efforts to strengthen youth development infrastructure and provide a conducive environment for corps members posted to the state.

The foundation for the camp will be laid by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during an official ceremony scheduled for February 16, 2026. The President’s visit will also feature the commissioning of other strategic projects delivered under the Fintiri-led administration, reinforcing ongoing developmental strides across Adamawa State.

Upon arrival at the airport in Yola, the NYSC Director General was received by the Director, North-East Area Office II, Jalingo, Mrs. Aishatu Abubakar Adamu; the Adamawa State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs. Osoroh Caroline Chinedu; alongside other senior NYSC officials and corps members.

The establishment of a permanent orientation camp marks a major milestone for the scheme in Adamawa, ending years of temporary arrangements and signaling a long-term investment in the welfare, security, and effective orientation of corps members deployed to the state.

Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu is warmly welcomed to Adamawa State as preparations intensify for the historic groundbreaking ceremony.
