Governor Fintiri Swears in 25 New Commissioners, Including 22 Men and 3 Women

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State administered the oath of office to 25 newly appointed Commissioners, comprising 22 men and three women. The swearing-in ceremony occurred on Thursday 10th August, 2023 at the Banquet Hall of the Government House.

During the event, the governor emphasized the importance of a positive and innovative mindset among the new members of the state’s Executive Council. He urged them to approach their roles with a winning attitude and deep insight in dealing with various situations.

Governor Fintiri reminded the newly appointed commissioners that the essence of good governance lies in dedicated service to the people, where trust is held as sacred. He underscored the need for them to prioritize the welfare of the citizens, ensuring that the benefits of democracy reach every corner of the state.

Emphasizing the concept of value addition, the governor stressed that the new council must enhance the art of governance in the state. He acknowledged the challenges ahead, including potential misrepresentation and attempts to undermine their efforts. However, he reassured the commissioners of his unwavering support and urged them to confront their responsibilities with determination and resilience.
