Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has officially performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Adamawa State Ultra-Modern International Conference and Events Centre in Yola—marking a transformative leap into the state’s future.

The event, held on May 29, 2025, signifies the administration’s commitment to positioning Adamawa as a hub for business tourism, global conferences, innovation, and investment.

“Today, we broke ground on the Adamawa State Ultra-Modern International Conference and Events Centre in Yola — a bold step into the future of our state. Adamawa is open to investment, tourism, innovation, and opportunity. The MICE industry now has a new destination,” Governor Fintiri declared.

The facility, when completed, is expected to serve as a major destination in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry in Nigeria and West Africa, providing world-class infrastructure for events, summits, and cultural showcases.

The centre will not only boost the state’s economy and hospitality sector but also create jobs and enhance Adamawa’s visibility on the international stage.

Governor Fintiri emphasized that the project aligns with his administration’s broader economic diversification agenda, aimed at unlocking Adamawa’s full potential as a modern, business-ready state.
