The Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, describing the loss as a heavy blow to the Muslim Ummah and the nation at large.
In his condolence message, the Governor said the revered scholar lived a lifetime defined by profound knowledge, rare humility, and unwavering service to humanity. He noted that Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi’s teachings, spiritual discipline, and commitment to the Tijjaniyya tradition shaped generations and provided moral guidance in challenging moments.

Fintiri extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Government and people of Adamawa State to the family of the late scholar, his students, the wider Tijjaniyya community, and the entire Muslim Ummah. He prayed for Allah’s forgiveness and mercy upon the departed, asking that the Almighty grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
The Governor added that though the scholar’s passing leaves a void, his legacy of knowledge, peace, and spiritual enlightenment will continue to illuminate the path for many.
