Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved the promotion and payment of teachers in the state, in a move aimed at strengthening the education sector.
The approval, signed at the Government House in Yola, underscores the administration’s commitment to improving teachers’ welfare and boosting the quality of education.
Governor Fintiri described teachers as the backbone of the sector, stressing that prompt entitlements and recognition of professional growth are vital to sustaining dedication and excellence.

He reiterated his administration’s determination to reposition education through welfare packages, infrastructural upgrades, and policy reforms, noting that the move is also in line with his campaign promises.
Education stakeholders have welcomed the gesture, describing it as a timely intervention that will improve teaching standards and learning outcomes across schools in Adamawa State.
