Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has commended the Hōba Chiefdom Traditional Council for recognising the sacrifices of serving and retired military and paramilitary officers from Hong Local Government Area.
Represented by the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Babadoke Aloysius, the governor gave the commendation during a grand reception held at the Hong Township Stadium, where he praised the Tōl Hōba, His Majesty Alheri Bulus Nyako, for the initiative.









Gov Fintiri emphasized the importance of unity and collective responsibility in tackling security challenges, urging communities to continue supporting efforts aimed at sustaining peace and stability across the state.
The event drew prominent figures, including APC Adamawa Central Senatorial candidate, Comrade Mustapha Salihu (PhD), Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.
During the ceremony, Comrade Mustapha Salihu presented award certificates to distinguished veterans on behalf of the Tōl Hōba, in recognition of their service and dedication to the nation.
The reception highlighted the contributions of military personnel while reinforcing values of patriotism, unity, and community development in Adamawa State.
