The Adamawa State Government, through the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry, in partnership with the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) and the World Bank’s State Action on Business Enabling Reforms (SABER) project, has issued export certificates to 150 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) across the state.
Empowering Local Businesses for Global Trade
The certification equips local entrepreneurs with the requirements needed to enter international markets, ensuring their products meet global export standards. This move strengthens Adamawa’s position in the non-oil export sector and supports the state’s broader economic expansion efforts.
Reforms Backed by Key Development Partners
Representatives of NEPC and the SABER project praised the state’s ongoing business reforms aimed at improving the ease of doing business and enhancing export readiness.
The initiative marks a major step toward boosting the competitiveness of indigenous enterprises and expanding Adamawa’s footprint in global commerce.
