Fintiri Prioritizes Infrastructure and Welfare, Inspects Renovation of Yola Courts

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure and improving welfare across key sectors, including the judiciary, legislature, and civil service, to enhance productivity and ensure workers’ comfort.

The Governor stated this on Wednesday during an inspection visit to the ongoing renovation works at the Customary Court and High Court in Yola.

Fintiri emphasized that the judiciary, being one of the three arms of government, is receiving special attention through the provision of modern and comfortable office spaces. He expressed satisfaction with the quality of work delivered by the contractor handling the projects, noting that the furnishing and environment reflect excellence. He assured that the courts will soon be handed over to the judiciary for use.

The Governor also disclosed that the Adamawa State House of Assembly complex is undergoing a complete renovation, while the Government House has been upgraded with new offices for both the governor and his staff.

According to him, several old civil service and agency buildings—some dating back to the Gongola era—have been demolished to pave the way for new, more comfortable office complexes for workers.

On welfare, Governor Fintiri highlighted that civil servants are already benefiting from improved promotions and financial incentives, extending even to primary school staff. He described the reforms as unprecedented and widely appreciated by workers across the state.
