SABER Donates Computers to Support Adamawa State Small Claims Courts

In a bid to streamline the operations of small claims courts in Adamawa State, Chief Judge Justice Hafsat Abdulrahaman is set to appoint magistrates to ensure swift justice delivery and reduce courtroom congestion.
Justice Hafsat announced these plans during a ceremony where she received desktop computers and modems from the Adamawa State Action on Business Enabling Reforms (SABER) office. These resources are intended to facilitate electronic reforms for the small claims courts.

A total of thirty-six desktop computers and internet modems were presented by Dr. Bello Abubakar Song, head of SABER, to support nine small claims courts to be established across the state’s senatorial zones.

Dr. Bello Abubakar highlighted the significance of these technological tools in supporting the State Action on Business Enabling Reforms. The courts are expected to produce monthly reports as part of their responsibility to resolve commercial disputes efficiently, which is a key focus of the reforms.
Justice Hafsat Abdulrahaman expressed her appreciation for the donation and pledged that the systems would be used to fast-track reforms and ensure quick justice delivery.

Dr. Ahmed Adamu, Special Adviser to the Governor on ICT, e-governance, and policy, noted that these judicial reforms align with the developmental policies of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
In addition, SABER recently organized training for magistrates on the domestication of small claims courts, aimed at promoting business-friendly reforms that guarantee efficiency and financial stability for business owners in the state.
