Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to empowering youths and women for sustainable growth and development in the state.
Governor Fintiri made this pledge while receiving a delegation from the Yusrah Muslim and Youths Organization on a courtesy visit to the Government House, Yola. The visit, which coincided with the holy month of Ramadan, was an opportunity for mutual reflection on progress and future initiatives.
Expressing gratitude for the organization’s support, Governor Fintiri emphasized that the massive development being witnessed across Adamawa State aligns with his campaign promises to deliver good governance. He recalled that when his administration took office, the state was facing significant challenges, including the impact of insurgency. However, through strategic policies and interventions, his government has restored stability and fostered development.





The governor highlighted the importance of prioritizing youth and women empowerment, describing them as the most vulnerable groups in society. He reaffirmed his administration’s efforts in education, including sponsoring students and recruiting more teachers to manage newly established institutions, one of which is dedicated specifically to women across the state.
Governor Fintiri also urged the delegation to continue advocating for peace and unity while praying for the progress of Adamawa State.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Professor Fatima Joda commended Governor Fintiri for his various interventions aimed at improving the livelihoods of women and youths. She highlighted key initiatives such as the Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency, infrastructural development, and programs that have revitalized women-owned businesses.
Professor Joda further explained that Yusrah Muslim and Youths Organization is actively engaged in skills acquisition and empowerment programs to uplift women and young people in the state.
The visit underscored the collective effort towards fostering economic empowerment and sustainable development in Adamawa.
