Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to advancing higher education as he joined dignitaries at the Combined 15th, 16th, and 17th Convocation Ceremony of Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi.
The event, which marked the graduation of thousands of students across various disciplines, brought together prominent figures including Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum; the Shehu of Borno, His Royal Highness Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi; business magnate Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi; and other distinguished guests.




In his remarks, Governor Fintiri commended the university for its sustained commitment to academic excellence and human capital development. He described the graduates as “the bright young minds and future leaders of our State and Nation,” emphasizing that education remains the cornerstone of his administration’s transformation agenda.
Highlighting ongoing investments in tertiary education, the governor announced the establishment of new Faculties of Law, Engineering, and Medicine at ADSU. According to him, these developments will expand the university’s academic capacity and provide more opportunities for youths to pursue professional careers within the state.
“We are improving infrastructure and making education in Adamawa greater than ever before,” Governor Fintiri stated, assuring that his government will continue to prioritize quality education and institutional growth.
The convocation underscored Adamawa’s growing reputation as a centre of learning and innovation in the Northeast, with Governor Fintiri pledging sustained support to strengthen ADSU’s role in driving socio-economic progress across the region.
