In a gesture of support for Muslim civil servants observing the 2025 Ramadan fast, Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved a reduction in official working hours throughout the holy month.
Under the new directive, civil servants in the state will now report to work at 8:00 AM and close by 2:00 PM. This adjustment aims to ease the burden on Muslim workers, allowing them to fulfill their religious obligations while maintaining productivity in the public service.
Governor Fintiri’s administration remains committed to fostering a work-friendly environment that respects the religious and cultural practices of all citizens. The decision reflects his continued efforts to promote inclusivity and well-being among the state’s workforce.
The new work schedule will be in effect throughout the Ramadan period, after which normal working hours will resume.
