Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has signed the ₦583.3 billion 2026 Appropriation Bill into law, marking a major step in the state’s development agenda for the new fiscal year.
Gov Fintiri described the 2026 budget as a product of wide consultation and careful planning, deliberately structured to prioritize capital investment as a driver of sustainable growth and improved living standards for the people of Adamawa State.



According to the Governor, the budget places strong emphasis on critical sectors including education, healthcare, security, infrastructure, and job creation, reflecting the administration’s resolve to address both immediate needs and long-term development goals.
He noted that the choices made in the 2026 budget are people-centered, aimed at expanding access to social services, strengthening public safety, improving road and physical infrastructure, and creating economic opportunities across the state.
Gov Fintiri reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prudent management of public resources, transparency, and effective implementation, stressing that the budget is designed to move Adamawa State forward and build a stronger, more inclusive future for all citizens.
He called on ministries, departments, and agencies to ensure timely and disciplined execution of projects and programmes outlined in the budget to deliver tangible benefits to the people.
