Gov Fintiri Commissions Mayo-Belwa International Cattle Market, Inspects Hospital Upgrade, Engages Residents

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Tuesday took purposeful governance to Mayo-Belwa Local Government Area with the commissioning of the Mayo-Belwa International Cattle Market, inspection of ongoing works at the upgraded General Hospital, and direct engagement with residents on their most pressing needs.

The Governor formally commissioned the Mayo-Belwa International Cattle Market, describing it as a strategic investment aimed at boosting livestock trade, expanding the local economy, creating jobs, and positioning the area as a key hub for regional and cross-border cattle commerce.

During the visit, Governor Fintiri also assessed the level of work at the upgraded Mayo-Belwa General Hospital. He expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far and reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery through improved infrastructure, equipment, and personnel across the state.

In a town-hall style interaction, the Governor listened to the concerns and priorities of the people, with discussions centering on road infrastructure, electricity supply, water provision, security, and sustainable livelihoods. He assured residents that their inputs would continue to guide government action, stressing that governance under his watch is people-focused and results-driven.

Governor Fintiri emphasized that leadership is about presence, responsibility, and outcomes, noting that his administration remains resolute in moving Adamawa State forward without excuses or retreat.
