Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has engaged in a high-level discussion with ambassadors from the United States, European Union, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, and Australia, alongside global development partners.
The meeting, which included representatives from the World Bank, African Development Bank (AfDB), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), World Food Programme (WFP), United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), focused on driving durable solutions for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the Northeast.



Governor Fintiri emphasized the need for sustainable interventions to address displacement challenges, ensuring that IDPs are reintegrated into society with access to livelihood opportunities, education, and essential services.
The engagement underscores Adamawa State’s commitment to partnering with international stakeholders to foster long-term stability and development in the region.
