The Acting Executive Secretary of the Post Primary Schools Management Board, Mr. Birsan Penuel, has announced that the ongoing promotion of teachers in Adamawa State will be implemented in phases due to the large workforce, estimated at over 10,000 teachers across the state.
Penuel revealed that more than 400 teachers, who had been promoted before his assumption of office, have already started receiving their financial benefits from last month’s salary, with the process expected to continue progressively.
He noted that many teachers had not been promoted since 2018, while some cases of pending promotions remain under review. According to him, the Board is working diligently to ensure fairness and due process in handling all affected staff.

He commended the dedication of the Secret Registry staff and typists, who are working tirelessly to ensure a smooth and efficient exercise.
The Executive Secretary further praised Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of teachers, describing him as a leader who fulfills his promises. He assured that the financial implementation of the promotions is already underway and will be sustained in line with the Governor’s directive.
That’s a good improvement.
