Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has announced a major political realignment, declaring that Adamawa State will align with the All Progressives Congress (APC) as part of efforts to reposition the state at the centre of national politics.
Speaking in Yola after extensive consultations with stakeholders, the Governor said the decision was taken in the overall interest of Adamawa and its people. He noted that the move is aimed at leveraging the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for tangible development gains.
Governor Fintiri emphasized that the mandates given to his administration in 2019 and 2023 remain sacred and unchanged, stressing that while political platforms may evolve, the commitment to serve the people of Adamawa remains firm.




He further disclosed that the decision was taken alongside his full political structure, signaling a unified shift designed to strengthen the state’s voice and influence at the national level.
The Governor concluded by affirming that the realignment marks a strategic step toward securing broader opportunities and accelerated development for Adamawa.
