The Adamawa State ICT Working Group Committee convened today under the leadership of Dr. Hammajam Ahmed Adamu, Special Adviser to the Governor on ICT, E-governance & Policy. The meeting, attended by Permanent Secretary Political Mal. Ibrahim Buba and other committee members, focused on reviewing the state’s digital transformation achievements and planning future ICT initiatives.
Dr. Adamu highlighted the significant progress made under the administration of Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. Key achievements include the implementation of comprehensive ICT policies, the introduction of a zero charge for Right of Way, and the enhancement of the web presence for the Adamawa State Government and strategic Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
During the meeting, the Terms of Reference (TOR) for the ICT Working Group were thoroughly reviewed and discussed. Dr. Adamu emphasized the importance of the TOR in propelling the impact of the Adamawa State Information Technology Development Agency. He encouraged committee members to fully understand their mandate and to ensure its successful execution.
“The digital transformation agenda of our government is crucial for the sustainable development of Adamawa State. We must continue to advance our ICT capabilities to improve governance and service delivery,” Dr. Adamu stated.
The meeting concluded with a sense of enthusiasm and commitment from the committee members. They expressed eagerness to develop new initiatives that will further advance ICT within the state, ensuring that Adamawa remains at the forefront of technological innovation in Nigeria.
