In a groundbreaking move towards enhancing transparency and efficiency in revenue collection, the Adamawa State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has successfully integrated the E-Tax Payment with the Monify payment gateway. This initiative is a key component of Governor Fintiri’s broader Agenda for Adamawa 2.0, aimed at modernizing governance and improving service delivery across the state.
As part of this transformative effort, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Bar. Awwal D. Tukur, has been tasked with overseeing the seamless integration of all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) into the new payment platform. The SSG, working in close collaboration with the Chairman of the Board of Internal Revenue and the Special Adviser on ICT, E-Governance & Policy, Dr. Hammajam Ahmed Adamu, is ensuring that Governor Fintiri’s vision for a more transparent and accountable revenue collection system is fully realized.
The integration with Monify has enabled e-payment options, allowing payments to be made either through the web or via the Monify agent network. This innovation marks a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to streamline revenue collection processes, thereby increasing state revenue and ensuring greater transparency in financial transactions.
Governor Fintiri’s administration is committed to the continuous improvement of this system. The second phase of the project will see the integration of schools, hospitals, and other government programs into the payment platform, further expanding the scope and impact of this initiative.
This progressive step not only aligns with the Governor’s vision for a digitalized Adamawa but also emphasizes his commitment to creating a more efficient, transparent, and accountable government that truly serves the people. As the state moves forward with the implementation of these digital solutions, residents can expect enhanced convenience and improved service delivery in their interactions with the government.
