The Adamawa State Government has donated ultrasound scanning machines to all 21 local government areas under the state’s IMPACT Project initiative, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery across the state.
According to the government, the newly provided machines will be installed in cottage and general hospitals within each council area to improve diagnostic capacity and ensure timely medical intervention for patients, particularly in rural communities.

The initiative reflects Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s commitment to enhancing access to quality healthcare services, modernizing health facilities, and reducing maternal and infant mortality rates through early detection and proper diagnosis.
Health officials in the state described the intervention as a major step toward bridging healthcare gaps between urban and rural areas, emphasizing that the ultrasound machines will significantly assist in antenatal care, emergency diagnosis, and general medical management across Adamawa’s 21 LGAs.
